K-9 Education center offers classes in Novice Obedience and Puppy
Socialization. Our classes are designed to make your pet more manageable
at home and make you feel more comfortable when you do have to take your
pets our (away from home - vet, vacation, etc). We don't expect
perfection, but we do expect them to respond to our commands. The classes
are held in the lower level of Ellisville Veterinary Hospital in
Ellisville, Missouri and the courses will last 6 weeks.
Patty Wilcox: I've been teaching classes at Ellisville Veterinary
Hospital since 1994. I have multiple obedience titles on my dogs and have
trained through Utility on my own dogs. I'm one of four original founders
of the Spirit of St Louis Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. and have been
secretary for the club since it's beginning. I not only do obedience (in
AKC events) with my dogs, I also participate in conformation and hunting
events as well. All my dogs are owner handled and titled. I have been
actively participating in AKC events since 1988.
I have now been approved by AKC to conduct Canine Good Citizenship
testing. Canine Good Citizenship testing will be an option for clients
that complete the novice training session for an additional fee.
Classes are limited and you need to
